Running electrolysers near-continuously demands hybrid wind-solar design with careful capacity ratios and possibly storage buffers, not just headline RE capacity. Indian developers must model diurnal and seasonal RE profiles against electrolyser load factors early in design, not post-financing.

Anchor offtake unlocks bankability
The 30-year Air Products ammonia agreement was central to securing non-recourse debt. Indian green hydrogen projects need similarly durable, creditworthy offtake — domestic or export — before lenders will commit large project debt tranches.
